The entire purpose of education is not only to restrict itself to imparting bookish knowledge but also inculcate humanitarian values like wisdom, compassion, courage, humility, integrity and reliability in a student. Here, in DPS Amalapuram, we train teachers not only to teach well but also to inspire confidence and trust and develop child’s capacity to regulate his/her emotions and to relate successfully to peers. And we increasingly expect and train teachers to intervene in such overall development of a child, guiding him or her in pursuit of personal and academic excellence. We also encourage that parent engagement is essential for complete and harmonious development of a student’s personality. When parents are engaged in their school’s lives, students have the home support and knowledge they need to not only finish their tasks and assignments, but also develop a lifelong love of learning. Only through such activities and experiences students can be taught to make positive contribution to society.
