Dear Parents,
The much-awaited Holi is here. This Holi, with Holika, let us burn all that’s evil, depressing and sad. In the steps of our respectful Prime Minister, let us drive COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus away by choosing not to participate in any mass gatherings to celebrate Holi. So, let us celebrate this Holi by protecting ourselves and others from the disease. The steps to be taken to prevent COVID-19 or any other infective respiratory diseases are-
- Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.
- Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
- Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Or wear a mask if you are suffering from or around someone with a cold, cough.
- Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance.
Thereby, we also can avoid environmental pollution as Holi colours are made of synthetic food colours or dyes including malachite green, a known carcinogenic, as well as auramine and rhodamine which are highly toxic for human health and the environment. So, along with the nation, we, International Delhi Public School, are choosing sanitation and health over fun and sickness. We hope and encourage that you do too. Happy Holi to you and your Family!!
